Standing Ovation for Doctor Elena Antonova at Kings College London Neuroscience Event
Dr Antonova's inaugural conference presented cutting-edge UK research into the Neuroscience of Mindfulness and its clinical applications to physical and mental conditions. This highly informative two-day event attracted multi-disciplinary participants and featured absorbing contributions by Entertainer Ruby Wax, BBC Arts Correspondent David Sillito and many eminent medical researchers (listed below) including Dr Antonova herself.
Dr Antonova presented her latest British Academy and Templeton Foundation funded research into neural responses to mindfulness using Magnetic Resonance Imaging and Psychophysiology. She is a speaker at the forthcoming Mind and Life European Symposium in Berlin in October, she is co-organising the Mind and Life Summer Research Institute in August 2014 and she is a programme leader for the new MSc in Mindfulness and Neuroscience at Kings College London.
Further stimulating presentations were given by: Dr Tamara Russell, Dr Nicole De Zoysa, Dr Jane Hutton, Dr Louise Johns, Dr Thornsten Barnhofer, Prof Paul Chadwick, Dr Emma Lawrence, Dr Siobhan Lynch, Dr Katherine Rimes and Oleksandr Demchenko.
